| 2005.08.01 | 2005 Eggemoggan Reach Regatta & Feeders -- The Whelp was in both feeder races, Castine to Camden to Brooklyn. Only 5 people for the first feeder. NOT enough for all the sailchanges we did. New sail: Phin's Phoresail. Like Golly but footed to mainstailsail boom for maximum upwind performance. Disqualified in 2nd feeder as we were one of many boats not informed about a jibe mark. The finishing boats were told over the VHF by the committee otherwise they would have missed it as well! Of course, the wind was pretty dead for the actual race. | |
