Moving to Maine:
The Whelp was originally in San Diego. We had her trucked all the way over here.
Hull Rot:
Almost ten years of rain sitting in a bilge will do an amazing amount of damage.
Cockpit Work:
We believe the cockpit is the heart and soul of the vessel.
Re-glassing the Hull:
After replacing the rot, we had to be sure we never had to deal with rot there again!
Rebuilding Ribs:
The Rot had spread to many of the lower parts of the ribs so we replaced most of them.
Epoxy Shell:
(10/27/2000)
To prevent rot, a layer of epoxy was placed on the entire inner surface of the wood and in select places outside.
