The Emma Rae

The "Emma Rae" is an offshore lobster boat built in Nova Scotia Canada. She is 43 feet long 20 feet wide and draws 7 feet. A stout vessel. On the 4th of February she had an electrical fire while she was tied up at Dimillos. When the Captain left her, he shut all of the air vents and as a consequence the fire didn't have enough oxygen to really get going. The smoke was spotted and the Portland Fire Department put the fire out. We hauled her on February 6th. She JUST fit into the building. She has 800 traps offshore and we have to turn her around quickly. From the looks of things inside her cabin, the heat must have been intense.
